Since our establishment in 1914, our firm’s primary focus has been to value our clients first and foremost. While dealing with the various changes in the conditions surrounding the protection and utilization of intellectual property it has been our pursuit to always
consider what is in the best interest of our clients and not the upsizing of our firm. With the foregoing in mind, we have continued our efforts and have devoted ourselves to
furthering our knowledge and experience in our field.
In the year 2014, which marked the 100th anniversary of our firm, the Patent Attorney Act was revised and the following provision was adopted into Article 1 of the Act stipulating the “patent attorney’s mission” as “IP experts to contribute to the proper protection and utilization of IP rights and consequently the development of the economy and industry by accurately utilizing the relevant IP systems,” which is exactly what our firm is aiming for.
We believe that our role is to contribute to the maintenance and development of our
clients’ business through the protection and utilization of intellectual property.
While keeping a cautious and close watch on the changing times and thinking of our role as patent attorneys in these changing times, we will continue our endeavor to contribute to the development of our clients’ business in order to fulfill our mission as patent attorneys.
